Development and implementation of the experiment REMOS (REcession MOnitoring System) in a team of 7 students as part of the DLR student programme REXUS/BEXUS (Rocket and Balloon EXperiments for University Students). The experiment was launched on February 22nd 2011 on the sounding rocket REXUS 9 from Esrange, Kiruna, Sweden. It tested a monitoring system that enables in-situ measurements of the temperature and thickness of ablative heat shields of re-entry bodies. The project resulted in a publication.
